Biography

Combining four gifted musicians from four different countries they are proving that music is a universal language and has the power to connect people and nations.

Lironima Quartet is an international String Quartet based in Vienna, Austria. The ensemble was founded in  2023 at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, austria. Since then they were playing in concerts and festivals across Europe and North America.

Currently, the Lironima Quartet is studying in the Chamber music master's degree program at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz under the guidance of Prof. Alexander Pavlovsky and with Prof. Peter Schuhmayer at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. 

The individual members of Lironima are prize winners of international music competitions and graduates of the best music universities in Europe. 

In 2024 the Lironima Quartet performed multiple concerts at the “Chamber Music Days” Festival and the musicology festival “Spiegelungen” in Graz, Austria. 

Furthermore, in June 2024, they were invited as the Quartet in Residence to the PRISMA Festival in Canada. They spent two weeks touring Vancouver and British Columbia, performing recitals of music by Haydn, Beethoven, and Shostakovich. 

In August 2024, they were accepted to participate in the renowned chamber music festival “Zeist Music Days” in the Netherlands. During the festival, they performed multiple times and had masterclasses with remarkable artists like Simone Gramaglia, Laurent Marfaing, Mark Schumann, and others. 

The Lironima Quartet is a part of the quartet network Le dimore del Quartetto.

On their journey they learn from the best quartets, they were influenced by members of Jerusalem Quartet, Artis Quartet, Quartetto di Cremona, Modigliani Quartet, Szymanowsky Quartet, Bennewitz Quartet, Schumann Quartet and Alban Berg Quartet.
